很多時候,要完成一個夢想,靠的不是一人之力,而是許多人的信念交織成網,撐起彼此未竟的願景。

《Root to Table》的起點,來自策展人凌宗湧的一個提問:我們是否能將台灣的可食花草,帶進世界視野?
這個問題,像一顆種子,吸引了一群同樣熱愛土地、珍惜自然的夥伴加入——古碧玲的策展觀點,朋友們的穿針引線,讓夢想中的名單逐一成真,也讓一場尋根的旅程,緩緩展開。

《Root to Table》既是一場展覽,也是一間「可以吃的花店」。展場裡的每一株花、每一片葉,來自這片土地最貼近生活的風景:食用花草、原民文化中的神聖植物、被忽略的果樹之花,乃至日常轉角就能遇見的野生植物。

我們希望,透過這場展覽,邀請更多人換個角度,看見土地長出的花草風景,重新認識那些其實一直在你我身邊、卻未曾真正理解的台灣。

Oftentimes, realizing a dream is not the work of one person alone, but the result of many beliefs intertwined — a web of shared visions holding each other up.

Root to Table began with a simple question from curator Ling Tsung-Yung:
Can Taiwan’s edible flowers and herbs be brought onto the world stage?
Like a seed, this question attracted a group of like-minded individuals — people who cherish the land and value nature. With the perspective of co-curator Ko Pi-Ling and the connections provided by many friends, the dream list of participants gradually came to life, and so began this journey of rediscovery.

Root to Table is both an exhibition and a “floral shop you can eat.”
Every flower and leaf in the space comes from this land’s most familiar landscapes — edible flowers and herbs, sacred plants from Indigenous cultures, overlooked fruit blossoms discarded during harvest, and even wild plants encountered in everyday life.

Through this exhibition, we hope to invite more people to see Taiwan’s botanical landscape from a new perspective — to rediscover the flowers and herbs that have quietly surrounded us all along, and to understand this land in a deeper way.
