For Island 133's inaugural exhibition, chief curator Alfie Lin explores the theme "Edible Flower Shop", attempting to "rediscover" how the flowers that grow from this land represent Taiwan's rich geographic and geological landscapes, diverse ethnic cultures, as well as the layered convergence and collision of foreign and local influences. The exhibition carefully selects 133 edible flowers, herbs and plants, combining perspectives from 7 experts across different fields. Through interviews, data collection and editing, it re-deciphers the rich chapters of Taiwan's exclusive edible flora.

The exhibition's theme "ROOT TO TABLE" adopts the virtuous cycle of life as its design concept. The encircling "Circle" expresses the theme, exploring the possibilities of our land and life from the "roots". The main visuals combine photography of actual flowers, herbs and text design, using illustrations to present the details and postures of the 133 edible species, conveying the imagery of a vibrant flower shop blooming in spring.

The exhibition experience includes "experiential lectures" where the participating experts are invited to share stories about plants, jointly exploring the little-known aspects of edible flora.
