From Land to Table, Where Flowers Bloom and Nourish: The Story of Root to Table

本次《Root to Table》可食花草展覽的策展空間設計,由凌宗湧與 CNFlower 聯手操刀,
以「可以吃的花店」為主題概念,運用現成物件如黃色塑膠籃、工業用梯子、試管等元素,
搭配真正來自台灣土地的可食花草,構築出一座既生活化又充滿實驗感的「可食空間」。

展覽歷時三個月,隨著展期推進,不同季節性的可食花草也會陸續在空間中登場,
觀者得以透過五感體驗,認識台灣可食植物與花草風貌及氣味的多樣性。

視覺設計部分,我們以「良善的生命循環」為設計核心,
主題字 ROOT TO TABLE 採用環繞意象的 Circle 呈現,
寓意從「根」開始,探索我們土地與生活的更多可能。

同時特別邀請攝影師 Ivy Chen 擔任展覽主視覺及影像內容拍攝,
她擅長捕捉人物與自然光影間的故事性,
讓展場中一幅幅垂掛如花店包裝紙般的影像,猶如一本能細細閱讀的攝影故事集。

展覽前導預告影片則由 Hailing Wang 操刀,
精煉且富含意境的動態影像,為觀者帶來引人入勝的開場體驗。

而展覽中兼具科學美感的繪圖設計,則由鄭杏倩、王瑛兩位設計師攜手完成,
為整體展覽增添一層細膩且專業的視覺語言。

 

The Root to Table edible flower exhibition was curated and spatially designed by Ling Tsung-Yung and CNFlower,
built around the concept of “an edible flower shop.”

The design integrates everyday objects such as yellow plastic baskets, industrial ladders, and test tubes,
combined with seasonal edible flowers and plants sourced from Taiwan’s land,
to create a living, experimental space where flowers can truly be tasted and experienced.

Spanning three months, the exhibition evolves over time—
with different edible flowers and plants appearing in the space as the seasons change.
Visitors are invited to engage all five senses, discovering the diverse forms, fragrances, and flavors of Taiwan’s edible flora.

For the visual identity, we embraced the idea of a benevolent cycle of life.
The theme typography ROOT TO TABLE is presented through a circular motif,
symbolizing a journey that begins with the root—an exploration of the land and the many possibilities of life.

We also invited photographer Ivy Chen to capture the exhibition’s key visuals and content imagery.
Known for her ability to tell stories through natural light and human moments,
her photographs hang in the space like sheets of floral wrapping paper—an immersive visual narrative for visitors to explore at their own pace.

The exhibition’s teaser film was created by Hailing Wang,
whose refined and atmospheric motion visuals provide a captivating introduction to the experience.

Additionally, the exhibition features scientific illustrations infused with aesthetic sensitivity,
jointly created by designers Cheng Hsin-Chien and Wang Ying,
bringing a layer of precision and elegance to the visual language of the entire show.
